Great customer service, but I'm concerned about my purchase
Mike Maloney's business (GoldSilver.com) seems like a totally first class operation. The sales agents were great to me, and even went the extra mile to assure my selection beyond their published policies (sending exactly the mix of bags of junk dimes and quarters that I requested). HOWEVER, when I was counting and sorting my quarters, there seemed to be a huge proportion of 1964 quarters that looked almost uncirculated. Really!? Plus, they measure thicker and larger diameter than even the 1963 worn quarters or even non-silver 2016 quarters. Red alert! Caveat emptor! So, I'm concerned about counterfeits in the supply -- although I very much doubt that GoldSilver.com would be involved other than reselling what they had acquired in good faith. I really like Mike Maloney's efforts to educate the interested public. I purchased a magnetic silver slide (diamagnetic effect) to test these silver quarters, and I'm hoping I like the results.
